What is an eSIM and why do I need one?
An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. There is no physical card to swap — you install a profile via QR code and you are online. Perfect for travel: you avoid roaming charges and keep your home SIM in place.
Important info before using your eSIM
Your phone must support eSIM (most 2018+ models do). A QR code can only be installed once. Validity starts on first connection to a local network, not at purchase. Install the eSIM right after buying, or save the QR as backup — we also keep it in your profile.
Checking eSIM compatibility
On iPhone: Settings → General → About. If you see "Digital SIM (IMEI)" your phone is compatible. All iPhone XR/XS and newer work. On Android: open Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs. If you see "Add eSIM", you are compatible.
Where to find your QR code
The QR code appears immediately after payment in the checkout window. It is also saved in your profile under "My eSIMs" — open the eSIM and tap "Install" to see it again. Never share the QR with anyone — it works only once.
Checking remaining data
Open your goAFK profile → pick an eSIM → you will see remaining data and days. You can also check on your phone: iPhone — Settings → Cellular → tap our eSIM. Android — Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → period data usage.
